I am a grandma and I have seen many kids’ tables and most are a disappointment. They just don’t function well, waste space, or are unstable. This passed all our tests and is a winner for us. You know how sometimes you feel like you just got lucky? We do. This is a very simple table in a natural wood color. It doesn’t stand out as “toddler” and looks at home in our family room. At almost 40 inches wide, two or more kids can use it at the same time.Unlike other tables my family has owned, the building block surface can truly hold name brand building blocks - both the larger toddler size and the normal size blocks. The kids were unhappy how their last table handled the blocks but this one got their approval. The little buckets on one end hold a fair amount. I am not sure what exactly I will use them for — blocks, art supplies, cars and trucks - it is hard to decide. I also like that I can easily change the setup to use it without the paper roll bar or the bucket bar. It is very simple to put those on or off. In fact, this was by far the easiest piece of kids’ furniture/toy that I’ve ever put together. The legs and pieces all come with a screw in the center so you just screw the piece onto the table or stool. The bucket bar is the only piece that you use a screwdriver to attach. The stools are relatively small. At first, I thought that was a negative but it makes it really saves space as, when done, you can push the stools under the table. Many tables have chairs that you can’t push even push up to the table. They always stick out several inches even when unoccupied, wasting space. I like that, because of the stools, this set only takes up the space the size of the table. The stool are on the smaller side (all dimension are posted on the site), but our three kids 7, 4, and 2 1/2 all were all able to use them easily. They are stools so you probably won’t want use this as a desk where someone would sit for a long time. The large inner buckets feel sturdy and can be used for many purposes, then stored right in the table. The flat side of the table has a road scene in soft tones. This is just ok in my opinion as a road setup but I do like the soft colors. All in all, this table works well for us. We borrowed a chair from another set and three kids played happily together. Since we just happened upon this table, we feel lucky to have gotten winner that meets our needs.
