It wasn't difficult to assemble but the provided instructions gave me a varied style. So make sure the panels are arranged just the way you want it beforehand. I preferred the slide/rock climber inside. Most of it is unpolished wood, but there is sandpaper provided to smooth it out so the little ones won't get splinters. Arrived much faster than expected. It’s extremely sturdy compared to other similar climbers I’ve seen, so my 8 year old has no problem climbing on it as well.
