I needed to replace my HUGELY ADORED old pair of Wallabees due to 6 years of wear, so I ordered these. They're just a bit different in that there's a loop in back but no traditional Wallabee crepe-rubber sole. Here it's a Vibram sole attached to a leather midsole: a somewhat less comfy arrangement than the directly-applied crepe of the original design, but a great update because the added midsole allows for replacing the Vibram soles underneath when they're past it.The blue color features nubuck leather on top & suede on the sides, but be cautious with the black because it actually has FUR on top! That's a faux calf hair from what I read elsewhere - but still rather weird to see if you overlooked that aspect while looking at the pics online. In either case, the Wallabee Hike is a good-quality variation of a truly great chukka boot. Research suede care so that you can properly maintain the uppers of these shoes, & they should serve you very well for many years to come.
